Haven't posted anything for a while. Haven't been watching too much lately, so this is just going to be some thoughts and observations.
The NHL Playoffs are looking pretty good as of now. The games are intense, dramatic and it's only the first round. We'll see what the Penguins can do here, hopefully what they did last year. Evidently the Capitals are beatable and now they're going on the road to Montreal. We'll see how that goes. Ovechkin is good, but he's not the whole team.
A team that worries me is Philadelphia, who just pulled off a solid overtime win over New Jersey. That's a hot series between two teams that absolutely hate each other. I do believe I'm going to have to start watching some of these games.
NBA Playoffs? A lot of great matchups and potential matchups. Who doesn't want to see a Kobe vs. LeBron finals? Dwight Howard, Paul Pierce, Carmelo Anthony, Tim Duncan to name four of many.
Something I really want to sound off on is how the New York Yankees are playing close to, if not the best baseball in the league right now. They've only lost three games to date! Pettitte is pitching remarkably, better than he ever has in his first three starts. His ERA is below 2 and he' 2-0. I know it's early, very early indeed, but I don't think it's too much of a secret that the Yankees are better than last year's World Series winning team. This pleases me. Let's pick up another pitcher with all the money we have before the trade deadline and win 28.
As for everything else, the World Cup starts soon, and NCAA lacrosse is nearing its postseason. Hofstra lost to Penn State in overtime this past Saturday, falling to 1-3 in CAA play. Oh lord.
I told you I didn't have much to say.
